Service Areas and Pricing

The Mesabi Trail Shuttle Service is available from Grand Rapids to Ely and all points in between. Up to 4 bikes & passengers per trip. (Larger groups, please call for pricing and availability).

The shuttle rates are determined by distance and drive time based from Mesabi Station in Eveleth. Recumbent, tandem, or e-bikes may incur an extra charge.

• Coleraine – 100 miles
• Marble – 84 miles
• Calumet – 80 miles
• Nashwauk – 70 miles
• Keewatin – 60 miles
• Hibbing – 50 miles
• Chisholm – 44 miles
• Buhl – 32 miles
• Mountain Iron – 18 miles
• Virginia – 12 miles
• Gilbert – 8 miles
• McKinley – 18 miles
• Biwabik – 24 miles
• Aurora/Giants Ridge – 34 mile
• Embarrass – 60 miles
• Tower – 80 miles
• Ely – 110 miles

The Shuttle is not an on-call service, except in an emergency. Please reserve your shuttle at least 24 hours in advance, more if possible. A cell number is required.

A $50 deposit will be charged at the time of reservation.  Payment for shuttles can be made by credit card, cash or check.

Mesabi Trail Wheel Passes available online or through the shuttle. You can also order a copy of the trail paper map online. (highly recommended).

• May 15-31:  9 am to 4 pm
• June 1-Sept 15:  8 am to 6 pm
• Sept 15 – Oct 15:  9 am to 4 pm (weather dependent)
