Construction Updates April 2025

Construction updates:

McKinney to Biwabik: putting in floating bridge is done, need to pave from bridge to Biwabik,  and expected to be done by June 30, 2025

Tower area:  trees need to be down by 3/31

West Two River to Tower area has been awarded and projected end of 2026 for completion

Aurora to Hoyt Lakes: in design & environmental (done by end of 2026)

Buhl to McKinney reconstruction: projected by end of 2025

Grants being sought for Keewatin area to Kelly Lake

Storm damage – Giants Ridge trail staying in the same area and being temporarily paved., minor repairs for storm damage are in quote phase to be fixed soon

Gilbert reroute: needs slope engineer and will have a detour by campground

Detour in Grand Rapids – it is by Hwy 21 in Arbo township. Mining company will be hauling material,  proceed with caution
