Carved from the walls of an abandoned 400-foot deep water-filled mine pit. Redhead offers nearly 25 miles of hand crafted, purpose built mountain bike trails already on the ground, and more on the way! Difficulty ranges from beginner (easy) to expert level with a wide array of terrain features and options. Redhead Beach offers canoe, kayak and SUP Board rentals

Redhead is located at the Minnesota Discovery Center, the Museum of the Iron Range. MDC is the largest museum and cultural center north of the Twin Cities, besides the museum enjoy their research center, 660-acre historic park, trolley rides, miniature golf, and dining at the Rustic Pig.

The Mesabi Trail is accessible directly from the Discovery Center.

Northern Minnesota’s next premier outdoor adventure destination, Tioga’s 500 wooded acres features 30 miles of world-class, single-track mountain biking twisting through a rock studded landscape. These professionally built trails range from family-friendly loops like Gurley Flynn to heart-pumping double blacks like Bloodstone.There are jump lines, skills tracks, tech trails, downhill flows and miles of XC trails.

The Tioga Recreation Area also offers two beaches, access to miles of waterways, and snowshoe trails.

Access to the Mesabi Trail is only six miles away in Grand Rapids at the Itasca County Fairgrounds.

Tucked in the towering pines of the Superior National Forest, the Giants Ridge Bike Park is the largest lift-serviced mountain bike park in the Midwest; featuring nine purpose-built gravity mountain bike trails and nearly 20 miles of cross-county mountain bike trails.

Mountain bike rental is available on site, as well as lodging, dining, shopping, and other year-round seasonal adventures including skiing & golfing.

The Park is located at the Giants Ridge Recreation Area – you can access the Mesabi Trail directly from “the Ridge”.
