Mississippi — Grand Rapids to Arbo Township (7.6 miles)
Enjoy scenic and fun out and back cycling adventure on the Mesabi Trail Mississippi Segment. This 7.6-mile start-to-finish ride begins in Grand Rapids and continues to Arbo Township. Along the way, you’ll be surrounded by lush forests, ore stockpiles, overburden hills, and the Prairie River.

Mesabi — Virginia’s Olcott Park to the Pike Rock Cut (13.3 miles)
Start and end this 13.3-mile out and back of the Mesabi segment in Virginia—the Queen City of the Iron Range. On your way out, pedal or stroll through the historic Olcott Park, grab a bite to eat at the community-owned co-op, or satisfy your sweet tooth at Minnesota’s oldest candy store. Then, cycle across Minnesota’s tallest bridge and climb up and through Pike Rock Cut.

Laurentian — “Ride the Divide” Giants Ridge through the Embarrass Lowland (17 miles)
See what ‘up north’ looks like as you cycle this 17-mile out-and-back on the Laurentian segment! Begin at Giants Ridge and cross the narrows between Wynne and Sabin lakes, before ascending the continental divide. Your decent will take you into the Embarrass Lowland and along a boardwalk where cyclists have been known to spot a moose or two!

Vermilion — Soudan to Vermilion State Park to Eagles Nest to Burntside (40.7 miles)
Experience even more of Minnesota’s iconic north on this 40-mile out and back on the Vermilion segment. You’ll also have opportunities to explore the area’s rich mining history as you pass by Minnesota’s newest state park: Lake Vermilion-Soudan Underground Mine State Park (if you have the time, take the underground mine tour!).
