Construction Update 2025

Here is some current information on construction for this upcoming year 2025.

Buhl to Kinney will be resurfaced but no date has been set.  There is still a .3 mile section of gravel, so ride with caution.

McKinley to Biwabik should be finished by June 30, 2025. They are to be working on floating bridge this winter and then pave the last mile into Biwabik. 3.75 miles have been paved already to where the bridge is going in.

West Two Rivers to Tower will be done, as of now tentatively, 2026. We hope for construction to start in 2025. There is still some planning for this section.

Biwabik to Embarrass still has some washouts and gravel to travel on. This is due to the storm damage from summer. Please ride with caution and construction is still going on to fix these issues.

Gilbert to Eveleth has a washout and potholes from storm damage from summer. These will be getting fixed this summer but no definite date has been given. It is passable just proceed with caution.

Arbo Township ( between Hwy 61 intersection) will have construction traffic due to mining operation fixing their property. Just be aware of the construction vehicles in that area. This is by Grand Rapids.
