2023 Construction Plans

We’re still buried in snow. But just to get you excited – 2023 construction plans include about five miles between McKinley to Biwabik, and about five of the seven miles between Hwy 26 (north of Embarrass) and Tower. That will leave the Mesabi Trail just a couple of miles short of the original vision of a bicycle trail stretching from Grand Rapids to Ely. Those last few miles are scheduled for 2024. Of course, those are the “plans” – you know what they say about the best laid plans of mice & men…
